A Sacred Gathering of Purpose: IMSWF Prepares to Convene in Greenville

A Sacred Gathering of Purpose: IMSWF Prepares to Convene in Greenville - Image

As the International Minister’s Spouses and Widows Fellowship (IMSWF) prepares to gather this July in Greenville, SC, there is a sacred weight resting upon this moment, one that calls us not only to assemble, but to discern, to pray, and to faithfully participate in shaping the future of our fellowship.

This gathering is more than a meeting. It is a holy convocation. It is a time when men and women who have walked alongside ministry through sacrifice, service, love, and unwavering faith come together under the guidance of the Holy Spirit to make decisions that will impact generations to come. At the heart of this year’s convening is the important responsibility of voting for our IMSWF Executive Board members.

This is not simply an act of selection; it is an act of stewardship.

We gather knowing that leadership within IMSWF is not about position, but about purpose. It is about those who carry the mantle of compassion, advocacy, vision, and spiritual covering for ministers’ spouses and widows across our Zion. As we prepare to vote, we do so prayerfully, seeking God’s wisdom and direction, trusting that He will order our steps and align our hearts.

In this season, we are reminded that every voice matters, every prayer counts, and every decision should be rooted in love and unity. The strength of IMSWF has always been found in its collective spirit a body of men and women committed not only to supporting one another, but to honoring the sacred call placed upon our lives.

As a point of reflection in this season of preparation, we also acknowledge that the IMSWF scholarship application process officially closed on May 1, 2026. This initiative continues to stand as a testament to our commitment to growth, opportunity, and legacy-building within our communities.

Even as we prepare for this pivotal gathering, we remain anchored in prayer. Our Monthly Prayer Call, established through the vision and faithfulness of Mrs. J. Fairbanks Leach, continues to unite us on the third Monday of each month. These moments of intercession remind us that before we vote, before we lead, before we decide, we must first seek God.

And so, as we look toward Greenville, we come not just as attendees, but as vessels ready to be led, ready to be filled, and ready to move in alignment with God’s will.

May this gathering be marked by grace.
May our decisions be guided by wisdom.
And may the leadership that emerges reflect the heart of God and the strength of this fellowship.

We will gather. We will pray. And we will move forward together as we continue to draw wide the circle.

Rev. Dr. Robin H. Stitt, President
