For 125 years, St. Stephen Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church has stood as a testament to God’s faithfulness — a place where generations have gathered, lives have been transformed, and a legacy of faith has been carried forward with strength and purpose.

From humble beginnings to a thriving, impactful ministry, every step of this journey has been marked by perseverance, praise, and the undeniable presence of God. Our story is not just written in years, but in the lives touched, the prayers answered, and the community built along the way.

Now, we pause to honor that journey.

On April 18–19, 2026, we invite you to be part of a powerful and unforgettable celebration as we commemorate our 125th Church Anniversary. Under the theme “Respecting Our Past, Celebrating Our Present, Creating Our Future,” this weekend will reflect the heart of who we are — a people rooted in legacy and moving forward in faith.

The celebration begins Saturday evening with a special Anniversary Banquet at the City Lake Event Center, a time of fellowship, reflection, and joy. On Sunday morning, we gather for worship with Dr. Kevin W. McGill, followed by an uplifting afternoon service featuring Rev. Dr. Anthony Davis and the renowned Livingstone College Gospel Choir. We are also honored to welcome Debra Terry, whose dynamic ministry will inspire and encourage us all.

This is more than a milestone — it’s a moment. A moment to remember where God has brought us from, to celebrate where we are, and to look ahead with expectation for all that is yet to come.

Whether you’ve been part of St. Stephen for decades or are looking for a place to connect and celebrate, there is a seat for you in this story.

Come be part of the legacy. Come celebrate 125 years of faith in action.
